What Battery are you using? *** Poll ***

Heard about Li Fe and other dry cell light weight batteries being used but not sure what to get. I think mine is ready to give up the ghost....So I am wondering what your using and like. I am in AZ so batteries take a real beating in the heat.

************ Poll ************

What battery are you using?

Your location?

How long has it been in use?

What did you pay for it?

Custom built A123 (8cell). I asked a member off another forum(Superhawk.forum), that custom makes this battery. Member goes by "Tweety", really smart kat (get the pun?)
The battery wieghs less than two pounds, and yaks the RC-51 alive.. been using the battery almost a year.. The battery made space for other componets to be RE-located under the seat..
Price -Cheaper than any on the market- and custom made to the size, I wanted...

I have the same one Sub bought, but I haven't installed it yet either. I can tell you it is one light SOB though, tossed it to my dad and he freaked thinking it weighed 12lbs.

The Dewalt must also be an A123? Are there any plans or posts for these?

I have a Parts Unlimited OEM replacement. It is made in the same plant as the Yuasa, but is much cheaper. I plan on going with a MOTY or similar A123 battery very soon.

Hey I just found what I thought was a great deal. at Batterystuff.

Shorai LFX18A1-BS12 >>>>$124 shipped!

I paid last night online and asked to have some one call me as toy delivery timing and the nice folks there called me at noon to tell me it should be 2-4 days but more like 2. Great customer service as well as a great price from what I can tell! No I don't work for them nor am I affiliated with them in anyway. Just thought I would share my quest and good findings with you.
