What to Look For When Buying a RC51

I see this question come up all the time, so I had the idea of starting a thread with peoples experienced tips about what to look for. Specific to the RC51. We have several very knowledgable members here, with great bits of unique experience; so I hope you all chime in.

Oil color / smell- check the oil window on the side and see if the glass is etched. Usually means oil changes didn't happen in a timely fashion or used oils sat in the crank case during storage...which means the bearings could be etched.

That is my first check and a pet peeve.

I know it's a PITA, but take the side fairings off and inspect all hoses and rads.

I also recommend checking out the owner's qualities. If there's stuff laying around all over the place, there's a good chance he didn't take good care of the bike either.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound
