UPDATE....i put a new battery in...worked fine for like 8 hrs. came out of work...tried starting it but it was cutting on and off with the F1 light coming on and it would die even with the choke on....THEN...a fire, one of my harnesses is screwed and and the battery popped the top off of itself and the battery was smokin...now idk what the hell to do

www.rc51parts.com to see if Ben has any wiring harnesses to plug and play.

What about your fuse box? What is the damage there? Or the main fuse (30Amp) thats up by the battery?

Sorry to hear about the fire.

That is some serious chicken strippidge! If you are a new rider though, for god's sake be careful on that bike. Ride well within your abilities. Never let speed overtake your skill. Great looking bike though. Welcome to our world.

im gonna be honest i literally have no idea whats messed up all i know is the fat bunch of cables that are right next to the rear subframe if on the left side of the bike is melted to hell....i have my mechanic looking at it to try n see what went wrong, also the battery blew the seal clear off(like that thing flew like 4 feet) and smoke was pourin out. it had ytz12s battery in before but i replaced with a everstart from walmart cuz the guy said it was the same, cycle gear want 175 for yuasa....all i know is im the saddest guy in the world right now, thanks for all your help guys ill try to get some more pics up

i have done business with BEN at rc51parts.com, i got the rear wheel and solo seat cowl from him. He is a quality seller and a true RC enthusiast. im just hoping its not the whole wiring harness or something really expensive

That's a horrible thing happen to your bike after the way you had it done up, you have my deepest sympathies. Hope things work out for you. If you want a stock seat to compare it to the Corbin, you're welcome to mine haha. My Corbin is the only seat for me.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

That "fat bundle of wires" on the left is probably the rear wiring harness.
It connects to the front wiring harness near the rear cylinder.
If the battery blew like that just while starting, I'd believe there was a major short in that area.

Also, be very areful when lifting the fuel tank for maintenance.
That main wiring harness passes very close to the tank and can be pinched, causing either shorts or breaks in the wiring.
