Pulled Over Twice within 15ft !!!!!
Ran out of fuel on the road in heavy traffic at lunch (reason will be a separate post) fortunately close enough to a gas station I was able to push it in the last 15 feet! As soon as I pulled up to the pump I got "pulled over" at the pump from an irate Mesa city motorcycle cop. He was pissed and told me with no uncertain terms that he would be issuing me a ticket for $500 for improper mounting license location (bought the bike recently with the tail delete and the plates are far back). I mean I was just getting over running out of fuel in heavy traffic at only 105mi (was just happy I did not get nailed by a stupid driver) on the clock and was not even sure if I had some other malfunction. The cop was just yelling at me about section 3 article 7 paragraph 4. As soon as I pulled my helmet off to better hear him he realized I was not 20 years old (I am way older than that) and toned it down just a bit. My plates are too low behind the wheel. He gave me a warning not a ticket for $500. He then pulled away. I filled up and thank got it started it was indeed only out of gas.
Pulled out onto the street from the gas station and a black and white pulled right behind me. Crap I know what was going to happen and it did. About 20 feet later he pulls me over. He was pretty decent (different city Gilbert AZ, I was right on the city line) about it as I took off my helmet right away. I told the cop I know why your pulling me over. He told me that apparently lots of Squids in that area are hiding there plates and taking chase when pursued.
In any event I was pulled over twice in less than 15 ft and 30 seconds from before. That's a first for me. I wonder if I will get pulled over on my way home tonight after work.
And yes I will be relocating my plates tonight.......who needs this crap?? You would think with one murder a day in this place (Phoenix Metro) cops would be looking for bad guys and not a guy wearing all this dame safety equipment driving lawfully.....its a shame that Squids gives us "sport riders" a bad name..........
