Exhaust options.

Well this useless piece of human waste ran my baby over while backing up. My thoughts were that he needed a GD runway to take off cuz that hole he opened up was so big you could have landed a small airplane there.

Anyways I give him credit for staying around. My Yoshi pipes got all dinged up and I am making a 2002 Castrol Replica so I am in search of some carbon exhaust since Akropovic Exhaust will be almost impossible to find in good condition. If anybody has had any experience with 2Bros or any other brand I would appreciate it. Thanx to Madbuyer I have been spoiled and heard how sick the Sato's are and would kill for a pair.

Thanks all,

Ricky Bobby

These bikes are hard on carbon-fiber mufflers.
The power pulses from those two pistons cause stress cracks over time requiring replacement of the sleeves.

The metal muffler sleeves (aluminum, stainless, titanium) should last the life of the bike unless damaged, only requiring occasional repacking.
I say this as I have carbon-fiber mufflers on my Akrapovic full system, and was wanting to replace the C-F sleeves with titanium.

My buddy with an '03 RC51 has already blown off the end caps of his 2Bros C-F muffler twice.

Don't get me wrong, C-F looks sexy as hell when new, but those C-F muffler refurb kits from Akrapovic are over $500 for two kits and I have no idea how long they will continue to make them.
They make great systems, but their after sale support sucks.

I put a set of Scorpions on my RC51 recently and I'm very impressed with them. I just got stainless, I'm not a big fan of CF pipes. If weight is a determining factor, just don't eat 24 hours before you ride, take a big crap and then you will have saved enough weight to compensate for not having CF pipes.

LMAO!
See how easy it is to make your bike lighter?!
Why spend thousands when all you need to do is starve yourself and take a crap!?
