Stuck in neutral......somewhat

Went to pull my SV650S out the shed this morning to ride to work and with the bike running and in neutral I start pulling back on it and it stops, push it forward and it stops too. I then hop on, put it in first, pull the clutch in and pushed backwards..............same thing. I've never had any problems with this bike really, I'm thinking it's something to do with the clutch/gears but not sure. Only other option I could think of was brakes but doubt that. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

All these bad things happen when I try to ride to work, RC is out and down for a while, looks like the SV is too.........I have no more bilkes left ahhhhhhhhhhh!!

James

by stops you mean it is dragging or are the wheels completely locked?
Did you lift the rear up and move it by hand? Could something have jammed up in your chain/sprocket somewhere? If it rolls freely check the front wheel, brake pads, bearing frozen .... ?

I don't want to offend you but I have forgotten to take the brake lock off a bike before
