So spring is in the air

Well in Upstate NY hopefully it is. Today we had a temp of about 68 degree's an yesterday was about 20( i know this state is screwed up) but anyways I got to get the Rc out an stretch it out for the first time this year and i put about 140miles on it which isnt much but for the first actually ride of the year its good.
I still love stopping to get gas an having people walk up to me an asking me what kinda bike i have because it has dual pipes an doesnt sound like a normal sportbike.. Ive learned over the winterthat there is 5 rc51's in this area I know of 3 which includes mine an i met a guy thru facebook that has 1 an he is planning on riding this year but the other one is like Ghostrider i never see him parked anywhere i just always see him riding Im gonna catch him this year "I hope"

Same here in Rhode Island, temps in the 60's today, put 100+ miles on. Had a blast, but my body is out of "motorcycle" shape, I'm tired...

Hey, maybe we will meet up; Iím running thru that area every couple of weeks, on my way thru the Adirondacks to Vermont or the Catskills.

Feels like spring here too, just doesn't look like it. Not much snow to melt out in the open, but we're a good month or better from riding anywhere near my place. Those that live in the towns and cities might be alot sooner though. If you do get out, watch for that nasty spring debris..sand, gravel etc.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

Spring? What is this you speak of? I've been riding all year. We have two seasons, cool/windy and stupid hot/very windy. Can't wait to move out of here to a place with 4 seasons (and some down time for the bike).

Here in Florida, we have four seasons: Tourist, Summer, Love bug, and Hurricane. None of which we enjoy.

Ordinarily, November through April is very nice weather and the best time for riding, but the Snowbirds and Tourists highjacked that time of year.
So it's packed with geezers and rubberneckers who make it theirs life's work to maim or kill as many bikers as possible.

Summer drives the snowbirds and tourists back to where they belong. But then it sucks to ride.
The heat and humidity from May until November makes riding a very hot, sweaty affair.

Love bugs are mostly in May or September, and it just isn't worth it to ride at all during those times. They are a bitch to clean off cars and bikes, and smell awful. Nasty spawns of Satan.

Hurricane season is from August to November. People always pray for a calm season.
2005 was not a calm season, with 23 hurricanes (a new record) whizzing around here.

Tourists and snowbirds sound horrible however I see your bet and raise you a city of Mexican nationals on their day pass There's only a bridge, a Customs Agent, and the bumper of their under/un-insured car between them and me.
