I know mine will go 11 miles, which happened one day when I was in the boondocks. Because that was the closest station.

When that light came on, I immediately went into fuel conservation mode.
As high a gear as I could without lugging the engine, light throttle opening, and slow enough speed to reduce wind resistance.
I probably could have gone farther, but I reached the station.
Others have gotten 14 miles reportedly, but I prefer others to do the research.
It ain't fun pushing these bikes miles down the road in the summer.

Anyone can get caught in a fuel pinch, especially in unknown territory. My light has come on once, and only for a couple miles before the fillup. If I get real curious, I'll carry a small fuel can with me and test it out. But I've got my range down pretty tight.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

Never tested it but it usually comes on around 125 and I've gone 140ish before getting to a station. I'd really like to test the limit but keep forgetting...maybe this weekend isn't a bad idea!

Mine pretty regularly ends up getting run on the "reserve" light and I can get just about 20 miles before it's totally empty or low enough that even if it still has some in it, the system doesn't seem to want to pull any more through.

Once I ran out and ended up pushing it when I was on or around 20 miles so I wouldn't (even with babying it) ever run it for more than 18-20 before filling up again.

Until the engine shuts off, and then how much further you go from there depends on if your pointed up hill, down hill, or straight ahead...lol Sorry I couldnt resist!

I have actually run out of gas coming home from a ride and I wish I had made a note of when the light came on and when it actually died out. It is a useful thing to know when you are a broke college student
