WTF? RC51 fuel tank disassembly secret?

I am changing fuel tanks, and i just went to pull the bottom plate, (which has the fuel pump etc mounted on it) and after removing all the nuts and lifting the plate and seal, the assembly is catching, and does not want to come further. I have tried sliding it around from side to side but no luck. I don't want to break anything. Any insights?

thanx

you have to tilt it. its tricky and a tight fit, but it will come (thats what she said). the pump is long and point towards the rear of the bike. its at a 90 degree angle in there, so you have to slowly tilt it till the plate is vetical and the pump is in line with the opening.

It will feel like it is binding up when it is at the right angle, give it a good tug and it will pop out.

I'm always right.

Thanks guys!

I licked it a few times and it loosened right up!

Track-day tank and fairing now installed... track day is next Saturday!
