Anyone in or around Austin TX looking for high mount sliders

You should contact T-Rex Racing at: 972-243-7868
I spoke with them while ordering some stuff and mentioned that it would be nice if they offered a higher mount slider, similar to the Thorsten option to avoid tank damage. They were incredibly helpful and said that if someone in the Austin area wanted to go by there and allow them to test fit, they would be able to design and create something. I'd suggest taking them up on that offer! Would be nice to have a more reasonably priced option for tank protection in the event of a spill. The standard engine mount sliders pretty much guarantee tank damage in a crash or tip over. Wish I was there, I'd do it myself.

This really does sound like a great opportunity. I wonder if it would be a universal fit for both Gens or one type for each? too bad I'm in the west coast....

That I'm not sure. I think the rad mounting stuff is the same on both bikes, but I could be mistaken. Hopefully someone is near there and can get this off the ground.
