exhaust ?

Hello, new to the forum and the rc51, been riding the superhawk for the past few years. The rc has the stock exhaust on it right now I wan't to put the ladybirds slip ons on it. Does it need to be tuned right away or put a powercomander on it, if you don't is it going to run like crap? Is their any danger of hurting the engine? Thanks for any information.

hey dawg....here are my .02 centavo's and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong

If they are just slip on's, I do not think you will notice much of a change performance wise. But, if you move to a full Lady Bird system, then I would suggest a PC3 and get a map that is close to that system, or take it and have a custom map done. There are a few guys here that have Ladybirds so i would bet they would be happy to help you out with a map or 2 !

Hope that helps !!

thanks for the reply, I am just doing slipons, and that is going to take all of my extra money, so I would have to ride like that for a while. When I build my motorcycle funds back up I wan't to do more so I thought I would start with the exhaust.
