This is why NOT TO BUY CHEAP TIRES

I work at a larger mid west Powersports dealership. I came in this morning and walk by the service department and I look at the wall where they keep wheels that were hand carried to have tires put on. I look and I see this one I mean don't get me wrong I have been doing this long enough that I have see even the most expensive brand name (bridgestones, dunlops, metzlers etc) do something like this from time to time but very very seldom. We constently see the cheaper (chinese,Korean, taiwan) do things of this nature. I have seen many many Shinkos and IRC's do this. Now I am not saying everyone of them will do this but the ratio of good ones to bad ones is far to bad for anyone in my opionion to risk ones life by saving a few bucks. I just thought I'd share this with everyone hopefully it helps with anyones future tire choices.

I do not know what kind of bike these were on but it was some kind of sportbike. The customer stated that he was riding down the highway yesterday ( 105 degrees) and the front end basically went out of control but luckily he was able to save it.

Thanks for reading.

Judging from the brake rotor, these are Yamaha's wheels. Probably an R6 I think....

Thank God he didn't crash!

I believe you are correct but none the less he is a very lucky man, I know its hard to see but rubber was clearly seperated from the carcass.

Airplane parts and Bike parts. Probably not good things to try to be cheap on. Cheap people pay twice, cash or ass your choice. (Ass meaning out of your hide)
