jardine 2:1 giving me troubles need info

Just installed the jardine 2:1 full system on my 03 and its not running right. It's back firing on the deceleration and expecially when you get into the higher rpm range. I have a pc3r but have yet to install. Will the pc3 help solve this problem? Did not back fire like this before with my yoshi slip ons. And the only map I have found for the 2:1 is the eron. Should I just use that map?

Any help will be greatly apreciated
Love the 2:1 look but need my bike to run better

Make sure you installed your exhaust gaskets. Check that the header is pusshed up tight before tightening the bolts on the flange. Sounds like you have air getting in to me. There is not a map for the jardine 2n1 from what ive heard.

I didn't install gaskets. Should I have bought some? Took old headers off and put new ones on. They were snug before I tightened

How can you people not know the very basics about owning a motorcycle that has been out for over a decade? I mean this is pretty much the bottom level of knowledge for any sportbike since the mid-90's, but everybody seems completely oblivious to anything other than matching their tennis shoes to their windscreen color

Do the PAIR mod to help alleviate the popping.

Old gaskets 99% of the time are ok and unless you damaged them removing the original exhaust are probably fine now.

I don't talk shit I speak the truth. It's only people like you that have no clue what the fuck they are doing and refuse to do even a modicum of research before they blindly ask for help on the most elementary topics that get offended by it, funny that...

Why is it such a big deal I ask a question? Because I'm not an expert like you? Just take it easy bud. Never changed an exhaust on motorcycle. As a person who has you would think that you would give a nice answer to my question instead of being an Ass hole.I Gotta learn some how. It's people like you who shouldn't be able to be on here just to make fun and be a dick.

Only stupid question is the one not asked...
So you did reinstall the gaskets? With this system, it is easy to not get the rear header snug to the gasket etc before tightening. I would loosen everything and start over. The map is not the problem

PAIR mod helps alot. i think you'd be ok with slips and no pc but you want the pc in with full exhaust.your most likely running the bike lean. FACTORY header gaskets part number 18292-MCF-003 in case you need it
