Fender front left tab breaking....???

Well, I am into my second front fender and the left front tab seems to be breaking. There is a crack up in to the front of the fender leg and the tab breaks but only on the left side. I did a search and one fella here had the wrong hardware but I believe I have the right shoulder bolt hardware but will double check.

I had a 2003 years ago and never had this problem but this 2004, which is new to me, seems to be breaking front left fender tabs.
I do not think I am bottoming out as my zip tie on the fork leg is about 3/4 of the fork travel. as well, you would think both front tabs would break but it is always the left front and the rear is fine.

I am at somewhat of a loss on this one....any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

That happened to me with two fenders too.
I fixed it by using an thin oring between the fender and bolt flange/head. Use blue loctite and only toque them to about 3 or 4 lbft.. Just a tiny bit beyond snug.
