Chain tension.

Ive just adjusted the chain on my new to me 01 as it was loose enough to touch the mid pipe. After adjusting it i can push the chain to the bottom of the swing arm around the mid point comfortably.
Its just seems foreign to me having a chain taught after owning a KTM with pds suspension.
Does it sound like I have it about right ?
Thanks,Jamie.

about an inch and a quarter lag is perfect.
with bike on the stand measure from ground up to chain then push chain up and measure again at same point this difference is the lag and should be at 1 1/4 inch

Just touching the swingarm sounds about right.
