China-made bodywork?

Has anyone had experience buying China-made, painted bodywork off of ebay?

I've got an RC51 with a ruined upper front cowl and damaged left side lower.

Am considering buying a complete new set, but want to hear others' experience
with the China pieces.

thanks!

guaranteed that even the oroginal oem panels were made in china.
I have heard many say most just like aftermarket car panels in the usa dont fit up perfectly but maybe not all are bad.
its a take a chance kind of purchase really

Tried it once for my ex-VFR800. And like most everything made in China, it was crap.
Nothing fit right, and the side cowl came pre-broken for my convenience.
I pitched the whole lot in the trash as a learning experience and bought OEM.
Honda does not give away plastics, but everything fit as expected. Lesson learned for me.

Lots of old posts with info compared to what's posted. Use the search function or google search.

made from bottle caps(will actually melt if you get brake fluid on it) and the paint is so soft you can mark it with your finger nails.it's terrible how they all say "their" bodywork is better than the other ones on ebay etc,but of course all from the one supplier.

Mine worked fine with some slight massaging of the mounting holes...plus, you can modify their paint schemes and they'll paint it like you want it (auctmart).

Make sure you put some heat proofing film on anything close to hot parts.

It's garbage $0.02 I've never seen a bike they look/fit right on. I've seen a few.

The new OEM stuff is astronomical though, unless you're loaded. Be patient and you can scoop some good shape used OEM stuff on ebay.

Bought a set with custom color request and solo headlight. Finish is what you expect. But I was happy with it given what it cost shipped etc... Looks good from 10 feet or up close if you are far-sighted.... I had a post I think but it was on speedzilla.com. Garbage compared to stock but that's not what you should be comparing to. I got a whole bike shipped for less than the cost of a single stock panel... Not to be a pessimist but you need realistic expectations...

Sure it looks fine, not fastened to the bike and brand new. Bolt it up and run it for a season...

What's on the one under the cover?
