2002 sp1??

Ok i have looked everywhere to find out if i have a sp1 or 2. The vin number title and frame all match and say it is a 2002 but when looking over the bike it has only one radiator fan the oil cooler is in the horizontal position and the motor serial code is 2001. The problem i have is when i am buying parts for this do i need to say it is a 2002 or 2001 sence everything looks to be a sp1

Post up pics. Show details including the frame (plastics off), neck serial number, swingarm, etc.

There was a bike posted a while back here that had an altered frame vin and was a combo sp1/sp2. Altered vins can be shady stuff.

Could also be an SP1 engine transplant.

Looks like SP1 parts mostly, if not all.

You need to take the side fairings off and take pictures of the full side of the bike. That will tell you if it is an sp1 or sp2 frame.

Vin looks strange. The 4531 appear different and uneven compared to the rest of the vin, with uneven coloring. Is that sanding marks underneath the first digits of the neck vin. And the decal looks like it has black overspray on it so the frame appears painted.

How many spokes on the wheels?

I cleaned up the neck vin best i could. The fram has been painted there are scratches from some road rash on it. The spokes are 6 Is there anywhere else the vin might be stamped so i can try and double check that location?
