Ladybird

Well I've pulled the plug on replacing my standard exhaust for the carbon Akrapovic system, the cost and heeding advice on hear that carbon may not be the best for the big v-twin. Plus if I do change the exhausts I'm hoping to keep it kinda standard looking.

So I've read a lot on here about Ladybird exhausts and not having heard about them before are they worth going for. I was thinking something like.

Ladybird : OVAL Slip on Silencer [LBPGP01-SOH002-OV]

Thanks in advance for the advice.

MrB.

I have a set of ladybird silencers for 550 posted here at the moment.

If you can find a set of midpipes with 54mm outlets you'll have a similar looking system for half the price

Contact SimonKobe, our LBP guy.
I bought a pair of large oval titanium mufflers for my full Akrapovic system (60mm inlets, same as Akrapovic mufflers) as they are much more reliable than the Akrapovic carbon mufflers, and surprisingly, lighter in weight as well.
These twins beat the crap out of carbon mufflers and the sleeves develop fractures over time (about a year and a half) requiring replacement.
The Akrapovic muffler repair kit (sleeves, packing, rivets, labels) used to cost over $500 USD, and that was 7 years ago).

Can contact Simon direct by emailing him at [email protected] great customer service, and will answer all your questions honestly. Can see what he has to offer by looking at his ebay store hardpartsjapan, just google it or search engine. Better prices if email direct.

If you contact Harris Performance Engineering, they can supply replacement Akrapovic Sleeves in Titanium which are direct replacements for your original existing carbon ones.
These come with 2 bands & correct rivets. Then just repack the exhausts when changing and you're good to go, keeping your original Akrapovic system intact but improving it.

I have these sleeves on my bike, as Carbon wasn't working out for me.

I have LBP on mine, and personally think they look and sound great. Haven't made it in for a dyno tune yet to get the most out of them though. That will be in the very near future.
