Moved to Dallas

So I relocated to Dallas this year. I still have my RC and other bikes back at my shop in California. Since I've been in Dallas, I have seen very few motorcycles and there does not seem to be any sportbike riding community or any motorcycle community at all. Am I ,missing something here?

How may RC peeps are here?

Also, it's pretty flat and straight. Where do people ride?

Never been there but hear lots of good things about the Texas Hill Country for riding. Not familiar enough with Texas to know how far from you though. I don't hear much happy comments about riding/traffic around D/FW either, sorry.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

Dallas is awe full for riding. I suggest not riding. I grew up there, but moved away late 80's.

The Ducati dealer hosts some bike nights. There are a couple of country club style tracks in the area. eagles Canyon, and Motorsports ranch in Cresson.

Suggest you get a trailer, and haul down to the hill country. About a 4 hour drive. Plus you can also get to Northern Arkansas. Great roads there. Then you can also haul your bikes down to COTA for track days, too.

Lots of wide open spaces every where but Dallas and Houston. East, south east has some good roads. About 2 hours away.

Dallas Fort Worth Texas area

Hey there. I live in Fort Worth, Texas. Texas has 5 or so great tracks to ride. I ride with a group called Ridesmart. It is a track day school. The group has 3 skill levels and instructors mixed in to keep everyone safe and following its riding policies. Level 1 group is very relaxed and not crazy. Level 2 is a faster group and Level 3 is race pace. It cost about $160.00 for the whole day and they feed you. They provide newbies with leather suits until you can get your own. You just need a Helmet, any boots that cover your ankles, and gloves. They are really great people and it is a very safe setup. PM me if you want to know anything. You wont regret going. It is safer than riding to work in traffic. Rich

OK, I finally had my (RC) and bikes shipped to Dallas. Can anyone help me out with the best shop for race-prep and maintenance? Don't have the time to do it myself.

lmao... Sorry to hear about that. Come on out to Clovis NM! Take the riding community that Dallas has and divide it by 10. Dallas seems like it would be wonderful!
