Castrol paint scheme?

Hi, I've just joined...the Honda SP1/2 was one of the bikes I really wanted back when they were new (and still do now - only this time I have the funds and space!)

I really like the Castrol colour scheme and I'm trying to understand what the variations of it were across the different model years. Could you guys help out please?

I can't post links of the research I've done so far until I've made 10 posts

Thanks

The Castrol theme was never offered by Honda from the factory. So there were no "variations" between years.

Every one you see has been done by the owner or is Chinese replica bodywork.

Talk to spraybay in Lincolnshire, they are the guys that painted the bikes, they still have the original schemes.

Your joking? Really no bikes from the factory like that! I never would have guessed that. I saw so many like that I just naturally assumed it was a factory option. Oh well live and learn. It's good in a way because there's an sp1 with a paint job I really like but I was thinking of holding out for a genuine one. Thanks

yeah it was never original.

the euro market sp2 was white and silver, but didn't have the castrol livery. if you start there it's a very simple transformation.

So that first image of the castrol liveried sp2 I'm guessing no castrol liveried sp1 was raced by Honda?
