Perforating Boots

This sounds maybe stupid

I had always perforated racing boots and I love them.

Now I'm wearing the spidi xp3 racing boots, the boots are not perforated..And the boots are little warm for in the summer...can you drill some little holes...so its perforated, and the boots will feel a little better on your feet when its warmer.

Just buy perforated boots. You'll either destroy your boots trying, or they will look like shit in the end. Buying another pair means you have a summer and winter pair, and they will last longer since you aren't wearing them year round.

Definitely buy a pair of perforated boots instead of hacking up your current ones and compromising their integrity/crash protection.

If you DO decide to drill holes, post pics so we can see 'em!

I'm not sure what to do

I'm not sure if I would spend now, another few hundred Bucks for extra boots.
I checked my old boots...and it looks like they drilled some tiny holes in the boots....special when its warmer..the extra cool air feels good.
That's why I was thinking to drill some tiny holes in these boots.

Perforated leather has holes punched in it not drilled. Then to keep the leather strong they put a fiber backing on it. Otherwise it would just rip and fall apart very easily.

Used perforated boots...would be a better option if your budget is limited.

Or you can also try cycle gears Bilt line and get some for less than a hundo most of the time. Fitment varies but you can't bet a price like those, not even for some quality used boots.

I bought two sets of Alpinestars SMX+, one for $75 and one for $125 both in basically new condition. I just picked up a set of Sidi ST boots for $200, and a free set of Alpinestars SMX-5 waterproof boots.

Deals are out there, you just have to find them. I've picked up four pairs of used boots in the last couple years, all for less than half of retail. There isn't much gear for sale here, but check your local forums and regional racing forums. I also keep an eye on the wera classifieds. I've found stuff by searching for: "(whatever you are looking for) for sale, forum". You'll have to dig into the links, and through old threads to find the good stuff, but it is out there.

I'm always right.
