From my limited experience, every one of these "Selling for someone else", and especially if they want to ship the bike to you deals, is a scam. They're going to want some money from you up front. Doesn't matter how small the amount, because your never going to see the bike anyway. I saw an awesome GSXR-1000 on CL for sale for $2500.00. Supposedly the seller was the widow of an Iraq war veteran, who was KIA. She just wanted to get rid of the bike, because it reminded her too much of him. Yeah right. That bike was worth 8 grand I would say, so yeah, it was a scam as well. If you can't go see it in person, you're taking a big chance. JMHO. Pipes on that bike look to be worth about half the asking price, at least. No one who has one that looks that good is gonna give it away like that either. I think I've seen other scam bike ads, where there was a classic car in the background too. There's always subtle things in the picture to make you think it's legit. Usually they only have one pic though. Ask the guy for a picture of the license plate, just for kicks!
