Rc51 price

Can anyone give me some insight on what this bike would be worth. 04 rc Nicky Hayden. 2,258 miles. Everything on bike besides oil and filter is on it from factory. It's been sitting in climate control for the past 6 years and getting started and rode around the block a handful of time. A friend of mine bought it new and he's finally willing to sell it to me. We already agreed on a price, I'm just wondering what it would be worth. Thanks!

It's "worth" is whatever someone's willing to pay. I have seen some super clean RCs advertised for $8-9K but that doesn't mean they sold for that price. However on average a really nice, never crashed, running with no issues, Nicky model will probably get about $6k.

If it's free of dents, scratches, etc., with that mileage, here in California, I would guess that bike would list for $7500.00+. I've seen some pretty reasonable prices in other states, for decent bikes with around 20k miles. $3500.00 for a nice looking one in Oregon.

Nice Old Harley you got there! Mind if I kick it over?

"Met vrienden moet je wandelen, niet handelen" 🙂

If you agreed a price already, my suggestion would be to stop trying to figure out if the deal was right. Don't muddy a friendship with doubt..

"friends are best for walking, not $$business talking..."

PS: kick him in the balls for not really RIDING that bike in 6 years 🙂

I was just curious, we agreed on $3500. It's a clean as you would think a bike would be with only 2200 miles. There is a scuff on the right muffler from rubbing it against one of his other bikes. He bought it with intentions on making it a track bike 14 years ago but instead built a car. He rides a Harley because his wife likes to go with

Sounds like you got a screaming deal! With all the money you saved, now you can start with a nice set of pipes, suspension work, rear sets, carbon fiber this and that, Spal fan upgrade, tires. There's another 3500 right there, without considering the front suspension. That can all wait though. Like Dutchy said, get out there and ride that baby!

It's probably worth almost twice what you paid for if it's pristine but I would just ride it and keep it if you can? I can't remember the last time I saw one on the street and I've never seen the 2005-2006 Black & Metallic Charcoal on the road (except mine and it's not for sale). Sweet Deal Congratulations!!!
