Suspension

Many reviews of the RC51 talk of harsh suspension and something not for a pleasant street ride. The roads in and around Appleton Wi are not very smooth, you could say rough at times even for a Ford F-150. The RC51 gives great feedback from the road and soaks up sudden pavement changes pretty good and is a nice ride, get out of town on some back roads and this baby shines. It’s a sportbike not a Valkyrie

As Mr. Thede said "the best you've ridden is the best you know" If you're happy with what you have, don't change anything. If you should ever have an opportunity to ride a well sorted RC with a quality shock and fork DON'T.

If you ever buy a bike with decent aftermarket suspension or indeed you have updated a bikes suspension then you will always be skint, every bike thereafter will have a hell of a lot to live up to and will feel crap and not handle how that updated bike felt. How do I know? Cause i'm skint.

Sounds like you guys that posted a reply dont feel the stock suspension is any good. I just feel some are a bit over critical when the bike is set up well, at least my my 02 feel great. Maybe some have difficulty setting their bike up for the conditions they ride in. I’ve been on many bikes through the years, raced motocross and use that experience to dial my bike in. The RC is very capable for 90% of the riders out there. Enjoy your bikes, my 2 hr ride yesterday was fantastic

That's it, you are just much better at setting up your suspension and we are all gullible idiots that like throwing cash away

There was also some improvement from the SP1 to SP2.
