That's a real canyon carver there.
As a side note on the chain. I happened across a fellow with his extended swingarm and rusty chain as he rolled into a local eatery.
Not only was his chain rusty enough to squeak and it rolled, it was also piano string tight.
Like several octaves tight.
I mentioned he might ought to lube and adjust that chain.
He told me that's the way he liked it. I said "Oookay" and walked away.
I wonder if he still had the left side cases intact, or perhaps a left leg attached.
'Cause when that long-ass chain snaps, it's going to do a lot of damage when it whips around.
In the immortal words of John Wayne. "Life's hard. It's harder when you're stupid".

The other funny thing, is in his description on the auction page. He said the chain had been replaced in the last 200 miles! I guess he never said he replaced it with a NEW one!

I messaged him.
Here is what I said.

I really like this bike. I think this thing is absolutely mean. It's so damn sick.
When you ride it, you must feel so cool, everybody must look at you.

I am mechanically inclined and I work on my Honda CB380 and do all my own work on it.
You said that the engine does not have a cam in it?
Why would you say this? You said it runs perfectly?

He answered with 4 messages. Here they are in order.

^^^^^^^^^^^

There's no aftermarket cam and yes it runs and drives perfect

^^^^^^^^^^^^

Motor is stock besides the exhaust, it's definitely a handful to drive and it can easily get someone hurt if they're not familiar with this kind of power, this is the only RC51 I've ever seen like this and it's the first stretched and lowered bike I've ever owned and it surprised me how well it rides and handles

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The winning bidder never paid the deposit so I reported him to Ebay and it's going back on Ebay tonight at 9pm so if you're seriously interested bid on it. It will not be posted back on Ebay a third time, any questions please ask

And I appreciate that you really like it, it's definitely cool

I think this guy here brought some respect back to the Pre-Owned RC51 Market!

No disrespect but why would someone want to stretch a Rc51? No argument it's a torque monster but I don't think I'd pick it for a drag bike. I have a 2000 Rc51 and a 2000 Blackbird but I'd never put them aside by side. The Blackbird would make my Rc look silly. Now on the track my Rc wins all day. Thanks for letting me share I'm new to the forum. By the way does anyone know if there is another Honda model that's front rim will fit the Rc51
