supporting bike?

i just got finished doing a lot of surfing on the topic and didnt really find what i was looking for. right now i have the bike resting on a tire and dont really like it. i have a swing arm stand to support the rear, but how should i support the front? i have no rafters to hang from, and no lower triple to lift either. will the oil pan or some other part of the frame/motor be used? the manual tells you how to remove the swing arm, but i didnt see anything on supplemental support. Thanks.

A couple of ways I do it; if you have crash bungs and a set of peg stands under these it will keep the bike upright or if no crash bungs then the peg stands with a bar under the front cylinder exhaust outlet will work. Even two step ladders with a bar accross and a ratchet strap under the headstock will work.

Yes under the sump...use a short piece of 2x4 to help support under the sump.

I've used this method by pushing the rear wheel against a wall, on the side stand and a jack...the trick is you need to be able to strap the bike down.

At my old place I drilled into the floor of the garage and used anchors in the ground...dead solid. But use good anchors.
