I'm not totally sure (having never measured), but from a conversation with an SP1 rider, I believe the injector dimensions are different between the two variants in the ways they mount in the intake runners.

What my frn did was, he used SP2 trottle boddies on his SP1...but the SP1 airbox will not fit in due to the larger trottle boddies...he ordered a SP2 airbox & it fit well...so far no order changes ECU is still the same...he just add PC3 & Dyno it..That all..

Well actually i was talking about the sp2 throttle bodies i just said injectors by accident. But at the current rate problems are arising im not worried about the injectors/TB right now.

Dont do it !!! Its a useless and very $$$ wasteful mod. If you swap to the sp2 tb's and everything that goes with it you will lose horsepower on low end and mid range and gain it on top where you dont need it. Everyone says the sp2 has 3 more hp then the sp1 but it makes that power at the very top of the rpm range where you dont need it.

I think the problem with your bike is its been sitting for so long.
