Protecting tanks paint from wear

Does anyone know what a good solution besides a fugly tank protector to remedy jeans wearing on the tanks paint? Like a clear vinyl piece or something?

One buddy of mine who does sales presentations, used a sheet of thick clear plastic (possibly mylar) with some artistry adhesive to protect his rear cowl.
Unless you looked close, you'd never even know it was there.
Then, if damaged, you could remove and replace it with another sheet.

Thats exactly what I was going to say. Factory Effex (they make motocross stuff) sells thick clear stickers in big sheets. You can cut out your own size/design. Super clear you can see rite through it.

Had both versions of this on my 04 1krr. I liked the 3m version best, it did look and adhere better! Once installed you can barely see it and it is extremely durable.

I use a bagster tank bag for my SP1. Perfect fit and I've got the tank bag as well.
