race bodywork need help

Ok, so I bought some fiberglass race bodywork off ebay. it is made by PIT-ECK speed. well i am trying to get it on my bike, however it just wont go. it is too wide to fit the windshield and too short in the upper to go over the stay. Has anyone ever delt with race bodywork before? any help? is this how it should be or did i just get crap bodywork?

Yes, you did get crap bodywork! I used some of their stuff once, and will never again. I got my money back, but it was a hassel. It also did not git well at all on my 02 GSXR750. Right now, you can get new Hotbodies for about $485 shipped, and $475 shipped if you call Lithium Motorsports (I think both of those sales are still going on). I picked up a great set of used Cheetah bodywork for $200shipped. It hadn't been crashed in, so it is still in great condition. I wouldn't take free stuff from Pit-Eck, cause it's so crappy! Try and get your money back, and invest in something a little more expensive.... you do get what you pay for with race bodywork.... Optimal doesn't make RC51 glass, or it would be the best bang for the buck.

I had not drilled any frame slider hole's, just the mount locations for the fairing bolts..... but they were so far off, and the stuff was too fragile to work with.

No, I told them they could send UPS to pick it up, but they never did come and get it.
