Lowside

Back end washed out at 45, right side is toast. Part out or fix?

Post pics of the gear too when you get your comfort meds...

Maybe I wasn't clear....I didn't want to imply you were not wearing gear. Just a friendly reminder to everyone.

Anyone else with you??

Always wanted to learn how to sew.

Depending on how damaged everything is, and wether you care about riding a mint bike, the fix/part out decision can go either way. The problem is that lowsides on these bikes can and will mess up the lower on one side, the upper, the tail and the tank all at once that is close to $2k in plastics and tank alone. Pretty much any lowside will touch all but one piece on the opposite side.

If you had insurance, I would see what they will give you for the bike, and what you can buy it back for. The value on these are low enough to make them an easy total.

Pictures will help.

I'm always right.

Is there anything mechanically wrong with it, and did it burn through anywhere? Everything that you've listed so far is pretty much cosmetic, and depending on how perfect you want your bike to look you could easily get it back together for under 2. Just my opinion.

As of right now, it's all cosmetic. Bike slid and landed in a ditch. State trooper estimates my speed at 55mph. Its frustrating because I had the corner, lined up the entry and apex. My body possition and suspension set up threw off the geometry of the turning, not the bikes fault. Rider error.

I need some track days.
