Thinking about swapping to low mount exhaust

Thinking about swapping my Mig high mounts to low mount Yoshi, D&D, or Two Bros. Anyone close to or riding around Boone, NC with one of those setups? I'd like to see/hear before I make a decision. Thanks!

Get the LBP or Yoshis best quality out there. For american made jardines are best, d&d are good durable type two sistas are good for an hour then warranty void as soon as installed....

Hell -I will find a set of D&Ds or a set of Yoshimuras to put on your bike- for a set of MIG high mounts..
I live in Asheville, NC..
I have Sato Ti lows on the 2003, and Sato Carbons low on the 2006...

Why? Do you have a need for foot pegs?? If not keep the high mounts, they look nice. If you swithc change to a nice set of Ladybirds. That right now is the only set worth the effort.

The reason that I was wanting to swap is the carbon fiber is staring to burn through and flaking off. Whoever had the bike before me also took the Mig plates off the cans and left the rivet holes. I also like the look of the low mount duals. I was under the impression that the Mig cans are not being made any more, I figured that getting new sleeves and packing for them would be next to impossible. Am I going to get a lecture on how I need to spend my money on better suspension, protection, and track days like I did on Speedzilla?

No. I would say at least buy some packing material and rivets and do it yourself.

That other stuff is nice (especially the suspension!!) but you have priorities not unlike others.

well, if its just the cans that are really the issue, why not just buy a set of Ladybird cans? Simon, sells adapters for them,so i am sure he has one that will work on those mid pipes. SP1 systems are really hard to find....really hard.

If you really want the low mounts, then Akrapovic, yoshimura, Sato, Moriwaki, TSR, or K-Factory are all good options. There are actually quite a few rarities on ebay right now. Heres a few to consider.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Honda-R...b82b59&vxp=mtr (these barely ever pop up for the SP1.....pretty rare find)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RC51-Moriwak...c39fff&vxp=mtr (you will probably never ever see one of these again, highly recommend. VERY RARE, and i am aware of one other person in the world with one of these systems. Full systems for the SP1 and SP2 are unobtainium. If i already did not have 2 full systems i'd be all over this)
