Rear ride height for Sp1

Hi there

I currently have my bike in bits at the moment, and while thinking of the things I need to do to it over the next few months, I thought I would be cheeky and ask about rear ride height for when I get the bike back on the road. (I find the bike hard to turn in initially).

The bike has a hyperpro race rear shock and Dan Kyle link, and I plan on having the sag set to 25mm.

Thanks in advance

Try this link out, with an Ohlins rear shock, and I don't think you'l be needing anything else ever again!!!

Check out your geometry...maybe it's off ( fork height??? )
Also are you running a 190/50 or 190/55 ????
The 190/50 requires alot of input at the bars......I do not mind it myself.
The 190/55 made a HUGE diff in turn in for me, kinda scary at first

I'm really sorry.......I was very tired last night so didn't register on my ECU what I was reading

If your thoughts are that the bike is leaning too much on it's side stand, well that's normal and factory setting effect. I observe the same thing, compared to my bros' Fireblade, the first moment I brought her home.

However, if your problem is in hard cornering with lot of effort on the clip ons, then Duck's advise is what the solution appears to be IMO.

My next rear tire is gonna be a 55 whatsoever....

Thanks with the info guys. The tyre on the bike at the moment is a 50 profile, which I will be changing in the spring. I changed from the 50 profile to the 55 on the fireblade and as you say it made things a lot better when tipping in.

I suppose once that's done I'll just need to play around with the ride height to get a happy medium.
