Akrapovic or Ladybird for SP1

Currently I have lesser known stainless slip-ons on my bike, but want to change them for either Akrapovic or Ladybirds.

I know the Akrapovic will be good, but I've heard good things about the ladybirds, and the welds look amazing along with the sound.

What's your thoughts on these, and also do the ladybirds need any special link pipes to fit to the standard headers?

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the link pipes, if they are a common size Simon can get adapters say for Yosh, Sato or even Akro.

Depending on your mid pipes size, you can get adapters ( as Nobody said ) from Simon to fit what ever you want, they are aluminum and come in many sizes. He buys them from another supplier...ladybird does not make them.
If you want a full ladybird slip on setup, it will have to be sp2. You will need to get an sp2 header pipe and mod it to fit or do what Jondog9 did and mate the ass end of the sp2 to the front half of the sp1 header.
If you do not want to do that, get adapters from simon and just buy his pipes. Myself ??? Go with Ladybird.....unmatched quality and sound. My 2 cents worth.

I've seen the cut and weld mod that Jondog9 had done. Not too fussed if I had to do this, and I suppose it would be a cheaper option, rather than buying ti mid pipes and then ladybird cans.

I've seen the ladybirds up close and they do look great. Only thing that is in the back of my mind though is the development time they have put into them. (well compared to the Akrapovic anyway).

It would be best to do that header mod Jondog9 did, opens up your options....Sp1 systems are unobtanium. I KNOW , trust me.
As for the SP2 Ladybird mids compared to Akra mids they are so near identical, so I doubt you would even notice any diff. Would be best to pick up a full slip on set and mount those to a modded sp2 header, what I would do. I still may...as I am paranoid of damaging my SUPER RARE Ethos Design Banzai TI slip ons for SP1.

Thanks Duckhunter

You've made my options clearer now. I think the best thing to do is to modify the rear header like Johndog9 and either way fit a SP2 slip-on, ladybird or akra.

Thanks again for the help
