Throttle Cables

Gents, please square the circle for me, whereby the Honda manual simply suggests disconnecting the throttle cables at the handlebar end but reality appears to make that impossible, suggesting they can only be unplumbed from the injector end. I'm keen to lube the cables ahead of a trip to Germany's Mosel Valley, ideally without having to pull the bike apart to do so. Here's a little video from my last holiday on the bike, this in Brittany, France.

You may be able to slacken off the cables enough at the bar to do it, but it is by far more advisable to do it from the throttle bodies as nobody noted, because one can break the throttle tube.

Just get a bottle of Dri Slide Bike Aid or Multipurpose lubricant and just take off the top portion of cable housing and insert needle applicator end down into the cable path and squeeze.
Worked fine for me on my VFR and RC51 for 5-8 years now.

A great tip and I've ordered (at worrying shipping costs) a bottle of this stuff. Many thanks.
