Guaging Interest

Hi all,
I picked up a 2002 RC51 last summer. Problem is that it has a full custom paint job that I am not into. I am seeing if there is interest in a straight up trade for some good to great OEM stock plastics (I prefer the 05-06 black though). Any year after 2002 will work. Custom paint is 9.9 to 10 out of 10 and includes a custom painted HJC helmet. Paint was done by Ten-Ten studio. Original owner came from a lowrider background and wanted this RC to be his show bike - not my cup of tea. Plastics were never crashed, bike never down, Bike has about 2,500 original miles on it now.

What you guys think? Please dont flame me or say i ruined a great classic - its allready been done........

well just my two cents but i think the painter did a hella of a job and it is rather tastefully done not to gaudy however the yellow does look strange but it's one of a kind and i wouldn't be to fast to judge i think it's rather cool not to many rc get that fancy of a paint job but good luck with your quest

Yeah, the painter did do a hell of a job - it is truly a custom paint job, not some hack up. There is some cool airbrushing on it for sure. Just not my style (I really am not into the head turning, "Wow" comments or the massive amount of chicks this paint pulls - Im married). But seriously folks, there is a pussy magnet built into paint.

So, you got plastics you wanna trade?

I almost bought this candy green ghetto nightmare RC to turn into a trackbike. Put a feeler out to see about selling the bodywork. NO interest what-so-ever

this paint job is GREAT! are you using this bike for street or track, for the weekend or for an everyday. I think you should kip it and see if can get the stock plastics later or get some Hotbodies or Sharkskins plastics and modifiden fro street and paint then stock, as you want then in black.....good luck in whatever you choose to do.....great bike as you I got my self a 02 with just 1820 miles bearlly used need some work but just cosmetic....

I disapprove solely on the grounds that it's labeled "crotch rocket" on the site.
