Difficulty shifting

My RC51 racebike has become more and more difficult to shift.
I have been having clutch problems since I installed the Yoyodyne slipper clutch... burning clutch plates, etc. There are all new OEM plates in the clutch now.

I have a quickshifter but it will not work between 1-2 and 2-3... only in higher gears. I have to manually back off the throttle when shifting in those gears. The quickshifter used to work before in those gears.

The gear change shaft mechanism has been swapped out for a new one... and a Factory Pro EVO Shift Star Kit has been added. I still get false neutrals every now and then.

I am suspecting damage in the gearbox... your thoughts?

On the surface, it sounds as if the clutch plates are dragging.
If you back off the throttle, it unloads the gearbox and allows you to upshift.

Wondering how I can fix that? I've rebuilt the clutch with new plates several times... and the quickshifter used to work beforehand when shifting between those gears.

Do you get any drag when you shift into 1st with the clutch disengaged?
So the quick shifter kills the ignition to unload the gearbox, but you still can't upshift in lower gears then?
