I dropped my bike this morning :/

Well. After a year of restoring this bike from the neglect of its previous owner, I dropped it. It felt like it began to bog as I was leaving my driveway, and then it died. I got the wobbles and fell over. I just put a brand new front fairing on it last month, and now it's scraped up.

Now I can decide to change the plastics completely for the same price as a new front fairing again. So the question is..... to replace OEM plastics with OEM or get Chinese replica kit for the same price as a OEM upper fairing.... any suggestions ??

That really sucks Tay, sorry to hear about that. I'd say bite the bullet and buy OEM front fairing.

Ah, that blows man. Do the replica ones look that bad that you have to get OEM? Don't think I've ever seen them.

Go OEM. Don't sweat the dropped bike....it has happened to all of us.

A few years back, i was going for a ride and fired my bike up. I proceeded to alert the whole neighborhood i was leaving with my loud rumbling exhaust, all the neighbors ran over to check out the bike and wave etc........well they got there right in time to watch me wobble at the end of my driveway and fall over. Talk about embarrassing.

The quality is really bad. The plastic cracks and is not nearly as felxible as the OEM stuff. Fitment is not perfect and a lot of times panels don't line up properly. Some guys have even had issues at speed with stuff breaking or coming off.

Ill post pics when i get home from work. I just bought a BRAND NEW front fairing from honda last month too. and now its scraped up. So keep a look out in the for sale section, will probably be selling a few parts soon haha. after a year of restoring it. all down the tube haha. I need to see if it bogged down on me or if I stopped paying attention for that split second and killed it. I just cleaned it yesterday too lol.
