Which stand do I get?

I'm about to "attempt" to do my own work on my bike and need both stands. I know pibull stands are the best but at $350-400 brand new for both is pretty steep. Anyone use a less expensive brand and can suggest a few to me?

Thanks in advance,

G

Tried checking your local Craigslist for used Pitbull stands? Gotta jump on them quick though because they usually sell fast.

I used the harbor freight special in the rear (no spools) and a black widow stand upfront. Both work well and are considerably less expensive, brothers girlfriend sold away the front stand, but the rear stand is still going strong!smh...but im always on the look out for used pitbull stands as Cobra suggests.

I have the full set from GPI Industries, front, rear and head. In total about $200 US. No complaints from me, I've been happy with them from day one.

Same here, had them for my ZX14 and now use them on the RC. Still work great since 2008!

I've had a set of T-Rex stands for many years now and have yet to experience a problem with them.

Well, I have Pitbulls and have no troubles either....I bought them because they are gold, fuck practical and functional.

I have used the LP stands, Cycle Gear has some decent ones too.

Use what you want and get in there and learn about your bike. Way to take initiative and save some coin.

Great idea Cobra. I checked my local Craigslist and found a Pit Bull stand for $75. Almost ordered one for $155. Thanks

I started out with power stand (PSR) and they worked well. They weren't as sturdy as my pitbulls but I never had a problem. You can find pitbull stands dirt cheap on craigslist.
