Bike died at a light and now FI light stays on...

I was pulling into a parking spot that was kind of on an incline so I just dropped my kick stand while it was in first gear to turn off the bike... I think this may be part of why my bike is doing this...

After that, I was riding home and pulling up to a light when my bike just died on me as I downshifted to first. I restarted the bike and rode on and noticed that my FI light was just staying on. When I got to another light, I turned my bike off and back on and again and the FI light turned off, but then at the very next light my bike turned off on its own again and when I turned it back on the FI light was on. I tried hitting the ignition with my fuel turned off and then fiddled with the kick stand and now it seems to be okay, but anyone ever have an issue like this? Kind of disconcerting.

Sorry, but I don't have any side stand switch problems.
The previous owner of my bike broke off the portion of the kick stand bolt that the side stand switch fits over.
So I just zip-tied the side stand switch out of the way after I centered it in the operating position.
