power commander problem

alright, i bought this power commander pciii usb off some dude on ebay, its a used unit and the only reason i bought it was 1- it was spelled wrong in the title so i got it extremely cheap and 2- the guy had really good feedback so i figured he was trust worthy.

i got it in the mail, installed it, and put in a "stock" tune that was in the database on the disk and the bike ran extremely crappy, almost as if it was missing on one cylinder. im gonna try to upload the "zero map" as soon as the rain quits and see if it runs any better but im just curious if anyone has had anything similar happen to them, im really afraid the power commander is junk. by the way the only mod that is done that would affect the map is the baffles were removed from the stock mufflers. i have a new exhaust coming from black dragon which is why i needed to purchase it.

If the air/fuel ration was extremely lean, it would cause misfires.
I doubt removing the baffles would cause that bad a condition, but I guess it's possible.
Try reloading a zero map and try again.
Does it misfire at certain RPM ranges or even at idle?

Just make sure all of your connections are secure - I had a similar problem and it was due to a loose connection, I'm referring to the ones under the tank. Good luck.

You could try downloading the maps from DynoJet's site. Instead of using the one from the disc you got. I don't think they have done much updating on the stock maps, but at least you'll have the most current one available.
I hope you didn't get outsmarted, you know? Maybe the misspelling was not a typo...
