vent the bottle and make sure the tube inside the bottle goes to the bottom .... also..if the radiators are full when cold then the overflow should only be about 1/2 - 1/3 full

you may have a bad thermostat, did they replace or check it…. The overflow works on a vacuum process, as the radiator water cools, it should suck the overflow back in…unless the thermostat is preventing it…

If there's no blockage in that overflow line, which apparently not cause the bottle is filling, than as your bike cools and temperature drops, that creates a vacuum and should suck the coolant from the bottle like a straw. Back into the radiator.
If your rad cap is not holding that vacuum, then your bottle will stay full. Just like you were predicting.
Did you examine it real close? Also any hole in the overflow hose may also cause that, or hell, even loose clamps.
Also, check the nipple on the rad filler neck to make sure it's getting good flow. The one the overflow hose hooks to.
Hope that helps.

I'm guessing you just need a new cap. I'm not following rakriege on his thermo explaination.

I'm getting ready to saddle up too.
Where were you thinking of riding?

Glad the cap was the solution.
We deserve to have easy fixes sometimes!
