04 rc51?

Going to look at a 04 RC51 Nicki and was wondering what to look for when I look at it. I know the usual stuff..just the funky stuff with those bikes that tend to go bad? Thanks...This will be my first RC51! Always wanted one..He wants $3300 with a dent in the tank..i just came off a 99 SuperHawk..

Clean title? for 3300? Sounds like very worth looking at. How many miles and what upgrades?
I always just tell people to politly ask to remove the side fairings so you can give it a good visual inspection. I would never hand over any cash unless I can 'pop the hood'.
If you know the usual stuff, you're pretty much covered. Rad hoses, condition of overflow bottle-condition of coolant, look into clutch and brake resevior at condition of fluid. And I ask tons of question from seller, to get idea of his reaction and bike history.
Good luck!
Oh yeah, check radiator mounts, vulnerable to vibration. and check the single inspection hose for the water pump. it's on the right side, and not grouped with any other hoses. look for ANY signs of water leakage. should be bone dry.

Thanks bro for the heads up stuff! Yeh the title he said is good and not even a rebuilt title. Will look and ride it tomorrow. Will post pics if I buy it. Haha. Hope it's in good order.

I swear to god that I did not read this post when I just posted in the What to Look for thread. Great minds think alike I guess. Those fairings hide a lot of stuff underneath them.

Dude! even if it didn't have an engine it'd be worth 3200! Well, maybe a bit of embellishing, but it sure looks clean! Don't understand the peeling on the sato nameplate. I would be tempted to contact Sato to see if they can put a new nameplate on it for you.

It looks like one hell of a good score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats; if you bought it, that is. You didn't exactly say...
If you didn't, go buy it!

One more important buying tip, in case you didn't catch it in another current thread: Look at the condition of the motor oil AND the motor oil inspection sight glass. Look for etching or cloudiness on the inside of the glass. That might indicate poor oil maintenence. Thanks to Madbuyer for contributing that tip.

Oh yeah, ask him to throw in the matching red stand

Looks good to me, I'd snap that badboy up in a heartbeat, just for the parts alone.
