Really Dumb Question Time

I've been dying to ask this since I bought my '03, but was just hoping I'd come across it in a post. On the paint code sticker in the cubby, it has the paint code for the racing red, but not the silver. I can dig up the paint code for the silver I know that. What's making my skull numb is the sticker also has the marking "SP3". WTF? Is there something wierd and wonderful about my bike or is this just one of Honda's bassackwards ways of listing/labeling things/

I was reading some foreign forum a few months back, and a poster was saying in their country, The RC51's were spy and sp1 for 2000 and 2001, sp2 for '02, sp3 for '03 and so on. I dismissed it. I forgot all about that until you just now brought it up.

Just a way that they labeled the RC51 in other countries. Honda is weird about that.

A few dealers resorted to putting "SP3" decals on to try and boost sales, but I dont think they fooled anyone.
