Price Check

I've sadly made the decision to sell my RC. It is an '03 with 9K miles, it is in mint stock shape, with Leo Vince cans, +3 tooth sprocket gearing, that's it. I'm near 60 YO and have owned it 8 years. I have all original parts, manual and at least $500 of new OEM parts to go with it. Am I asking too much at $6,000.? Or am I a guy that really doesn't want to sell his bike by hanging on to that number.

I have a 2013 BOSS 302 MUSTANG that has $7K on the note, the RC would close it out, I put only 150 miles on the bike last year, seems like it is time to go.

I just joined the RC51 owners. I paid $5400 for a 04, completely stock with 9800 miles.
Good luck

Interesting, I've come close to selling it for that ($5500) but I have a box with all HONDA OEM replacement air filters, fork seals, wheel bearings F&R, OEM brake pads, 3 sets, side view mirror, sprockets, spare NEW tool kit, manual, and EVERY bulb that goes on the bike. ALL OEM. The prior owner was a Honda MC tech, he stockpiled all the consumables. That stuff bought through a dealer is $$$$$. I could lower my price and sell the stuff on E-Bay, but you know time is $$$$$$.

That's the problem with selling bikes, cars, toys, etc unless you come across the perfect buyer.

Asking price might be considered a tad high IMHO (you wanted opinions, no offense).

Should have sold the bike for $5500 and unloaded the spare parts in the classified section here or locally (Craigs, etc).

G'luck!

I hear you, no offense taken. But when someone offers me $4500. I send them a link to another RC on E-Bay that is bright white with a Kelly green racing stripe. That bike can be had for that money. I've learned that it is better to pay a little more up front and get something mint than to deal with issues later.

I'm of the mind if it sells great, but if it doesn't sell, I'll still own a motorcycle that I can ride the wheels off and fits like a glove. I can ride that bike for 4 hour stints and I'm 59!
