Need Advice... 16.5" Front rim?

Hey Guys,

Well i bought off Ebay a few months back a SP2/RC51 front rim.

Anyway it arrived and i was stoked to find a good shaped rim. We all know how hard they can be to find for the right money.

I finally got some front rotars that arrived a couple of days ago and a set of slicks.
So i go to bolt the rotars on only to find they wont fit. (dummy here) emails the person i bought the rotars from and tell them they gave me the wrong ones. They reply with check the measurements as they sent the correct ones.

On closer inspection it seems i have been sold a 16.5" front rim, it has (forward facing) like the OEM spokes but with 6 spokes instead of 5 and is black

Now i have a track day in couple of weeks and have an incompatible rim.

What are your thoughts on this 16.5" rim?
Who uses them?
And what did it possibly come off?

Tire prices/brands etc

Cheers

Post up a pic of the wheel.

I'm going to guess on the wheel and say it's from a older CBR900RR since that is one of the few bikes that ever came with a 16.5" front wheel. However, if it's a aftermarket wheel, it was probably used for racing since the 16.5's were very popular a few years ago.

surely that would drop the front slightly and possibly improve the steering? (unless youve already jacket up the rear end, in which case that would be a little overkill)
