2003 Sp2 red oil light

Hello everyone first post here I have a 2003 rc51 that will not start and the oil light is solid red . Just changed the oil with rotella 15w40 , also the oil indicator window is not displaying oil even though I put the recommended 4.1quarts in. Any clue whats going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As for the oil window, you may have over filled it with oil above the window.
Look more carefully and check if the reflector in the window has a honey tint to it, as if looking through the oil.
Did you replace the filter as well? That's when you need the 4.1 qts. of oil.
As for the engine not starting, does the engine turn over at all?

Yes I did change the oil filter and yes the indicator has a honey tint . The bike will start sometimes and the oil light will disappear and start up like normal but die after about 30 seconds or so then the red oil light comes on and stays red and the engine won't turn over .

The oil light is a result of the bike not running, unless somebody stole your oil i guess the level is correct, what you need to find out is what is causing the running fault
