the mufflers need replaced and i think i am going back stock. (if anyone has any they want to sell please let me know). i am also thinking of converting back to the stock taillight setup. i hate the way the plate is mounted. this bike needs some love!

i will put a disclaimer that i dont like much cosmetically about this specific bike. if i had infinite money to spend i would go back to stock cosmetically as well but i have to work with what i've got.

i also got this tank with the bike. the PO was going to spray paint it black. i couldnt believe it! its in great shape with no dents. the tank thats on there now wasnt even removed from the bike before he painted it. they even left the seat on while they painted.

i would really like to convert back to stock with the fairings as well. i found a nice "ebay fairings" set that matches the 03 graphics and might go that route. we'll see...

and i was trying to be nice by saying let it fall. but in all reality, yes it was definitley pushed.

forward progress...

i got a set of oe mufflers (thanks atvrcr500) and installed them over the weekend. looks 100% better than what was on there. and now i can hear those gear driven cams!

i have decided to go back stock with the bike and i have ordered a few fairing pieces to get going. i was going to go with an ebay kit but it wouldnt be the same so i am hunting piece by piece.

on that note: IF ANYONE HAS ANY STOCK 03 FAIRINGS IN WORKABLE SHAPE PLEASE CONTACT ME!

here are a few pics with the new mufflers. i havent torn into it yet because my lift is full but it will be coming. (servicing other people's bikes pays better) in the mean time i am slowly ordering parts.
