SP2 PC3 USB HELP please

Hi chaps,
can anyone give me some advice please i have just bought a 2004 sp2 with scorpian high level race cans and a power comander 3 usb.
However the bikes seems not to be running smooth at all pops and bangs on overrun and dropping down the gears i think she is too rich. its like an SP1
a mate has checked the map is seems right for the cans.

I want to know if i can disconnect the PC to see if thats the issue and will the PC still retain the last map i.e. Scorpian cans so i can just plug it back in again.
any help would be great.
Thanks Phill

Simple answer is yes, the PC will not lose the map if disconnected.

Any type of running or fueling issues that is step one in the diagnostic process. Also check the FRP.

Use the search function at the top of the page for more info on that, its been covered.

If all the checks out you just may need to have a custom map made for your bike.

James

Also you can download the maps from the PC web page, and just keep trying different ones until you find one that works well.

Fuel Pressure Regulator.
The diaphragm gets old from age/heat/alcohol in the fuel, etc.
Then fuel leaks by and down into the throttle inlets, causing an over rich condition.

It's located at the rear of the throttle body.
Item #23 in the diagram.

Yeah, what he said.

Sorry for the typo, FPR-Fuel Pressure Regulator, not FRP

Is the popping and banging you hear coming from the exhaust during deccelartion? Isn't that a symptom of adding an after market exhaust without removing the pair system?

2004 SP2 (properly stored)

Have Yosh cans and still had popping after pair mod. A custom map took care of the popping. About a year later bike starting popping bad on deceleration. Checked exhaust and found rear down pipe had a leak. Replaced gaskets and no more popping.

Hi Guys thanks for all the replies,
plan is to get her on a rolling road and have her set up and hopefully will show any issues straight away with regards to outside electronic issues with components,
and yes poping is there when you close the throttle down on over run i shall check the down pipes,
Thanks again
Cheers phill
