Engine swap mods?

I bought a 03 rc51 recently and within fifty miles it grenaded a piston. Im awaiting a new (used) motor I purchased on eBay. Anyone have any tips or know of any easy power gaining mods I should perform before installing new engine? Any tips will be much appreciated!

Try this guy. In the off season I am going to send my heads over...I have heard nothing but good things about their work.

How bad did the piston grenade? Does the cylinder look like a sleeve may work?

The piston is in a hundred pieces in the oil pan. I'm not sure yet what the cyl looks like. I still haven't removed old motor. I'm in the process now. Thanks for the lead, I'll check it out and see if its in the budget x

Go to the mods page. if its not done already you could knock out the flapper valve, soft rev, airbox filter mod, and pair removal. Easy mods to get sorted before the new motor comes in.
