More power is NEEDED!

Hey guys,
I am new to this whole street bike world. I have an 2004 rc51 with about 7k miles on it. But I do know this bike needs some more power. What are some mods the can really bump my HP. I am trying to get into the 130-140 whp range. Not a clue what my bike has now. It has a PC3 and Akrapovic exhaust. Nothing else is done. Have done the soft rev or the air door flapper mod(or whatever that thing is called). All the help would be much appreciated.

The RC51 is not a HIGH horse power bike, it has MASSive amounts of torque. LOW in grunt that you don't get from "High horsepower/HIGH REV. RPM (inline four) bikes

If you want MASS Horsepower(NO LOW END), -find New bikes (NEW Technology, Bigger displacement/more C.C.)

If you really need more power, then you really need another bike. You won't get much more than standard on the RC51 without spending a lot of money and compromising reliability, neither of which are realistic in the real world. Get a new Panigale if you really feel the need for more horses & performance with a V-Twin.

Euro RC51 SP2: HRC WSB Ti Hi-Level, T1 Airbox & Snorkel, PCIII, Dymag CA5 Carbon Wheels, Ti64 Spindles (F, R & Swing Arm), Mori Link, Maxton GP7 Shock & Ohlins 832 Forks, Brembo GP Calipers & SBK narrow track (F), Braketech Disc (R), Brembo billet Underslung x 2 Brembo RCS, Tyga Triple, 7075 Stem, Probolt Titanium all over, Babyface rearsets, MR Complete Carbon Lineup, Custom Undertail & CBR 1000 LED, Watsen LED Indicators, Harris Brace, Giles clip-ons, Corbin seat, etc. 2013 BOTY.

New to street bikes but you need more power? I'm sure there is no way you can ride this bike to it's full potential. Is 160mph or 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds not fast enough for ya?

i dont see you riding it to its full potential either. especially being new to bikes. what you need to do is take it to the track and that will show you that you cant ride it like its made to be ridden. these bikes arnt made to go side by side in a straight line with your buddy's liter bike. but if your good enough you will be able to beat him around a track.

Not true. My 01 GSXR 1K had more torque at 3000 rpm than the RC51 does, and it was 50 pounds lighter.

The RC51 is a litre bike twin and as such it compares in overall power to a 750 cc I4. It will never have the power or torque I4 litre-bikes of that time period, let alone newer litre bikes. That's why the new Duc vtwin which does compete against litre bikes is 1200 cc.
